Why I Built THREADex™
After more than 24 years in retail leadership and over 15 years building my own business, I've learned one simple truth:
Most employees want to do a great job.
They don't fail because they don't care.
They fail because no one has clearly shown them what success looks like, how to achieve it, or recognized them when they do.
As I grew Thread + Seed from a single boutique into a multi-location retail brand generating more than $12 million in sales, I experienced the same challenge most retail leaders face.
There is never enough time.
There isn't always a manager on the floor.
And as businesses grow, it becomes impossible for one leader to personally coach every employee, every shift, every day.
I knew that if our business was going to continue growing, we needed systems that could create consistency without constant supervision. Systems that helped employees understand their goals, take ownership of their performance, and feel empowered to succeed.

Every stage of my journey—from my first days on the sales floor to leading multiple locations—helped shape the systems we use today.
I took the lessons learned as a new employee, a sales leader, a manager, and a founder and turned them into practical tools that work in real retail environments where time is limited, turnover is inevitable, and leaders wear multiple hats.
The result was measurable growth.
Thread + Seed grew into a seven-figure retail brand without investors. Our flagship concept store is currently achieving 75% year-over-year growth and is on track to surpass $2 million in annual sales.
But the result I'm most proud of isn't the revenue.
It's creating a culture where employees know how to win, feel proud of their contributions, and are equipped with the tools to succeed.
